The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the proposal of the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina Edin Forto, adopted a one-year moratorium on the tax for departing passengers, which will come into effect at the beginning of next year.

“In this way, we encourage foreign airlines to increase their presence in Bosnia and Herzegovina and open as many lines as possible from Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla and Mostar, all with the aim of increasing the number of passengers,” said Minister Forto.

The change in regulations was adopted with the aim of increasing the number of flights and more serious development of air transport in the country and is the result of a series of meetings held in the last few months between representatives of international airports, the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH, BHDCA and members of the Committee for Transport and Communications of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of BiH, announced is from the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
