An agreement between Igman and American Company Howell Machine, signed last week in Konjic, is worth 30 million euros and stipulates that Igman undertakes to deliver the agreed quantity of weapons, which will be produced in its plants within the next 24 months.
“The agreement is worth 20.26 million euros and relates to the basic types of products for which Igman is known. Cooperation began 2 months ago when we signed the first agreement worth 15 million euros’’, said the Director of Igman Džahid Muratbegović.
According to him, the agreement in the next two years provides jobs for employees of Igman, and the number of employed people of the current 820 will increase, according to portal Indikator.ba.
“The aim is to employ a four digit number of workers, and I hope that we will finish the year with 1.000 employees. Starting today, we will work in two and three shifts, including the weekends’’, said Muratbegović.
The President of Howell Machines David Howell explained that this company has seven different companies involved in the production of ammunition.
“We chose Igman because of its reputation, quality and place that it occupies on the market’’, said Howell.
