The new school year started in schools in Canton Sarajevo, and there is a slight increase in the number of first graders, around 4.000 children.

Assistant Minister for Education, Science and Culture of Canton Sarajevo Nihada Colic said that this year’s novelty is opening of the school in the settlement of Aneks, which is considered to be one of the most modern schools in the area of CS.

“Students who attended elementary schools Mehmedalija Mak Dizdar, Dzemaludin Causevic and Osman Nakas will be moved to the new school building on Aneks, because that is their school area,” she noted.

She advised parents not to rush with the purchase of textbooks, and to do that after they receive the list from the schools.

The first semester will last until the end of the calendar year when the winter break starts.
