An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit the western Turkish province of Izmir this morning.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD) announced that the epicenter of the earthquake was registered in Kusadasi Bay in Izmir’s Menderes District at a depth of 8.51 kilometers.
The governor of Izmir, Suleiman Elban, announced on the social network X that so far there have been no reported cases of damage from this morning’s earthquake.
And the governor of the neighboring province of Aydin Jakup Çanbolat told Anatolia that so far they have not received any reports of damage caused by the earthquake.
