A Value of Construction Works done Increased in the first Six Months

In the first six months of 2018, a value of construction works done increased by 19.5% compared to the same period of 2017.

Out of the total value of construction works done in the first six months of 2018 33.0% of works is related to Buildings and 67.0% on Civil engineering works.

Broken down by type of construction, building is represented only in European countries and the highest share of Civil engineering is related to European countries (88.1%), followed by African countries (11.9%).

In the first six months of 2018, a number of completed dwellings was 1.173, which represents a nominal increase of 44.8% in comparison with the same period in 2017.

Number of uncompleted dwellings at the end of the second quarter of 2018. was 3.868, which represents an increase of 17.7% in comparison with the same period in 2017.
