The director of the Bijeljina Hospital “Sveti vracevi” Zlatko Maksimovic yesterday presented a special gift to Dragana Simicfrom the village of Velika Obarska on the occasion of the birth of her 11th child.

Dragana’s son Luka, who recently turned 18 and thus became adult, will be employed in this health facility.

Maksimovic said that, apart from the gifts that the baby will receive, the most necessary things have been agreed upon with the family.

He stated that out of the thirteen members of this family, five are of legal age, and none of them work in a state institution, and therefore it was agreed that the son Luka would be employed in the Technical Service of the Hospital.

“The eldest son works in a private company, the nineteen-year-old daughter is finishing certain schools, and the son Luka, who turned 18 two months ago, is unemployed and works as a seasonal construction worker,” Maksimovic told at a press conference.

Maksimovic stated that yesterday he spoke with the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Republika Srpska (RS), Alen Seranic, and that he received a promise that approval would be obtained during the yesterday’s day for this employment which should start from September 1st.

“With this gesture, all of us from the Hospital are drawing attention to multi-member families and we want to encourage the local, but also the wider social community, to take more care of these families who need help and how they need it. There is no greater wealth than our children, so that in the coming period, all those who can, must help such families even more,” Maksimovic pointed out.

He added that the Bijeljina Hospital takes care of the pronatal policy, and that in this health institution there are two covid-operating rooms in which 14 babies were born this year alone.

Luka Simic thanked the administration of the “Sveti vracevi” Hospital for getting a job in this health care facility.

“I thank the management, I am happy and it will mean a lot to me. There is joy in the family on the occasion of the birth of my sister, and, on the other hand, I got a job and it will mean a lot to me,” Luka said, Klix.ba writes.
