Tomorrow at 11:30 in hotel “Bosnia” in Sarajevo there will be a press conference where the action of handing out first aid packages to women who have recently undergone an operation for breast cancer will be announced, as well as the action to provide free mammographic screenings for 700 women in 13 rural areas throughout BiH.

The action to hand out first aid packages and free mammographic exams are the result of funds gathered during the event “Race for the Cure” that was held last year in Sarajevo with the participation of over 5,000 people in BiH.

The Director of the program Empowerment for Women’s Health (WHEP) Nela Hasić and the honorary president of “Race for the Cure” Danuta Moon, the wife of the US Ambassador to BiH will address journalists.

Presidents of 20 associations throughout BiH that work in the prevention of breast cancer and women who survived the disease will attend.

After the press conference, there will be a lunch for representative of the media, and gifts will be handed out.

“Race for the Cure” is held every year in Sarajevo. The goal is to raise awareness of breast cancer and to promote early detection.
