lets_do_itAs part of the volunteer action ‘Let’s Do It-Clean the Country in a Day’, organized by the Association Ruke and Beton Fest, in Sarajevo an eko flash mob was held with the aim to raise the environmental awareness of the citizens of Sarajevo.

The volunteers first cleaned the big park in Sarajevo, after which the collected garbage was symbolically placed on the map of B&H that was drawn by members of Beton Fest in front of BBI.

‘’Volunteers have set bags with waste, cardboard, plastic bottles and other waste within the border. At one moment, volunteers cleaned the laid waste after which all passers-by could see a clean B&H with the logo ‘Let’s Do It’ in her heart’’, said to klix.ba Junuz Elkaz, the coordinator of the project ‘Let’s Do It’.

All this is a prelude to what will take place on 27 April this year, and that is the huge ‘Let’s Do It’ action, which will include the participation of volunteers from nearly all B&H cities.

Two years ago 37.500 volunteers from 105 municipalities took part in the action. Last year there were 47.000 volunteers from 107 municipalities, and this year there will be 111 municipal teams and we expect more than 500 volunteers’’, added Elkaz.
