The actress Dara Stojiljkovic from Banja Luka was awarded with medals Merit for the nation, Republic Award “Zlatno kolo” for contribution to the art and culture in B&H and the Sixth April award of Sarajevo. She graduated in literature at the University of Belgrade.
She recently defended master work at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka, in the 9th decade of her life.
Stojiljkovic is an actress, poet and writer. She began her studies back in 1986, and due to the certain circumstances she had to give up and decided to start again at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka, where she defended a master’s degree couple of days ago. She wrote several books and a numerous poems.
At the defending of her master degree at the Academy, Stojiljkovic said that she does not remember when she saw so many people present. “I did not even know that I am so popular, although I am very social, I love people and gatherings,” said the actress.
Her master’s degree was on the topic “Drama shaping.”
When asked whether she is more actress or writer she said that she is both equally. “When I see that I have neglected one area, I am going for the other. I am either on the radio or theater or I am making poetry reading nights.”
