This year’s Sarajevo evening of music as part of the 20th jubilee edition of the festival will present an interesting program from 6 to 10 May.
Besides the excellent pianists Ivo Pogorelić and Olga Kern, who will perform in the National Theatre Sarajevo, there will also be concerts in the Church of St. Joseph on Marin Dvor and the B&H House of Armed Forces.
On 8 May, the Zagreb ensemble Ad Gloriam Brass will perform in the Church of St. Joseph. The ensemble is made of up six brass players, member of the orchestra Opera HNK in Zagreb, symphony orchestra HRT and the Zagreb Philharmonic.
Ad Gloriam Brass was founded in 1993 and since then has been continuously performing. The repertoire consists of European and Croatian masters of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, and works of contemporary Croatian composers, some of which were written specifically for this ensemble.
At the concert in Sarajevo, they will perform works by Verdi, Rossini and Mozart’s opera, as well as compositions by Astra Piazzolla, Shostakovich, Ivica Badurina, Anton Dobronić and others.
