received_1217814044936216Ambassador of BiH in Podgorica Đorđe Latinović said that the agreement between BiH and Montenegro on temporal employment will be signed soon, with the aim of regulating the status of seasonal workers and the reduction of undeclared work.

Latinović said that the interest of BiH in reaching this agreement is greater than the interest of Montenegro, because there is a lot more workers from BiH who look for a find a job in Montenegro than vice versa.

“Negotiations on the conclusion of this agreement are in progress and are moving in positive dynamics so the signing of the agreement can be expected soon,” Latinović said.

Latinović reminded that the majority of workers from BiH work in tourism, construction sector, and agriculture, adding that interest in working in this country is great this year as well.

“From previous experiences we know that there are several thousands of seasonal workers from BiH who temporarily get a job in Montenegro every year,” Latinović said.

In previous years, Montenegro published quotas for employment of foreign workers and the issuance of residence work permits and the quotas amounted to up to 23.000, while this year the number was reduced to 16.000, or 12.000, which is the amount for this year.

Seasonal workers in Montenegro mostly come from Serbia, BiH, Kosovo, Macedonia and less from Albania, Russia and Ukraine.
