damir20hadzicThe BiH Minister of Communications and Transport Damir Hadžić  is participating at the annual three-day summit of member countries of the International Transport Forum, which is being held in Leipzig from 22-25 May with a focus on the future of transportation funding.

On the first day of the conference, Minister Hadžić participated at the ministerial meeting dedicated to “Investing with the aim of growth”.

At the plenary meeting, minister members of the International Transport Forum touched on the topic of private-public partnership in the construction of transport infrastructure, issues of financial sustainability of civil aviation, modalities for attracting private financing and ensuring predictable funding, and defining spending priorities in the field of transport.

Minister Hadžić met with the Latvian Minister of Transport Anrijs Matisse.

On this occasion, an agreement between BiH and Latvia was signed on international road transport.

Minister Hadžić had a bilateral meeting with the Czech Minister of Transport Zbyněk Stanjur in Leipzig.

After the bilateral meeting, Ministers Hadžić and Stanjur signed an agreement between BiH and the Czech Republic on international road transport.

The signing of this agreement resolved the issue of transit road transport through the Czech Republic for BiH carriers.

Minister Hadžić spoke with the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Italy Maurizio Lupio on improving cooperation in the area of transport between BiH and Italy.

On this occasion, activities started around making appointments for separate bilateral meetings at the ministerial level, which is foreseen in the second half of the year, announced the BiH Council of Ministers.
