Construction of the complex eco-zone Koricani – Vlasic worth 3 billion EUR should start on Vlasic soon, which will enrich tourism in Central Bosnia Canton, as well as throughout BiH, with various facilities, including golf courses, modern clinics, water parks, airport etc.
Project of eco zone Koricani-Vlasic should be built on the plateau of Vlasic, in the village Koricani.
Eco zone Koricani-Vlasic in its project includes the construction of health and educational, tourist and sports-recreation centers, luxury villas, airport, aqua park, artificial lake etc.
Miroslav Matosevic, director of the Tourist Association of the Central Bosnia Canton, said that the CBC is one of the most attractive and the most interesting tourist destinations in BiH and that the quality of accommodation and hosting services is at a satisfactory level.
“All this leads to the further constant growth of realized arrivals and overnight stays in the canton. In recent years, the private sector with the constant investment of funds in tourism facilities and products, managed to improve the tourist offer that corresponds to specific requirements of tourists,” said Matosevic and stated as an example ethno village Cardaci, Eko FIS Vlasic, Hotel Resort & Spa Vlasic, Reumal in Fojnica and many other tourist destinations.
Matosevic added that examples of investments in tourism in CBC have positive results and that the importance of new investments is reflected in the employment of young people.
With the construction of the Eco zone Koricani-Vlasic it is directly planned to employ 50,000 workers, and the same number on secondary and tertiary areas as well. However, in order to realize this kind of project, which is located on both entities, the ratio of investment of both entities should be 50:50.
If it comes to realization of this project, which will be of great importance not only for the CBC but also for whole BiH due to inter-entity engagement, it will certainly contribute to the improvement of tourism in BiH and increasingly frequent visits of foreign tourists to BH mountains, which are main tourist resort for a long time for tourists from Slovenia, Serbia, UAE, Germany, Austria and other countries.
