For the International Labor Day, on May 1st in Mostar, the sound of alarm sirens will sound at noon, in order to test the correctness of the system, and then, as part of the celebration of the biggest workers’ holiday, beans will be distributed to a thousand citizens.

From the Department for Organization, Legal Affairs, General Administration, Civil Protection and Firefighting, the Department of Civil Protection states that it is about checking the public alert system in the area of the City of Mostar.

They point out that on May 1st at noon, a signal for the end of the danger will be broadcast, that is, a uniform tone lasting 60 seconds, with reduced power.

“The correctness of the public alert system will be checked in the area of the City of Mostar, and everything is in accordance with the Rulebook on the organization and functioning of operational centers of civil protection”, explained the head of the Department of Civil Protection of the City of Mostar, Slavica Anicic.

The city administration of the City of Mostar also states that the celebration of the International Labor Day with beans will be held on Monday, May 1st, starting at noon on the city promenade and Zrinjevac Park.

Along with the Union of Independent Trade Unions and the Trade Union of the City of Mostar, the main sponsor of this event is the City of Mostar.

“A thousand servings of beans will be provided this year for the celebration of this workers’ holiday,” said the City of Mostar, and it is expected that trade union beans, like last year, will be distributed by union representatives and the mayor of Mostar, Mario Kordic, Klix.ba reports.
