After the global IT outage, Microsoft said that all applications and services that were previously affected have “recovered”.

“After an extended period of monitoring, we have determined that the issue has been mitigated and all previously affected Microsoft 365 apps and services have recovered,” the global tech giant posted on the X social network.

Earlier today, Microsoft announced why there was an IT failure worldwide.

“We are aware of an issue with Windows 365 Cloud PCs caused by a recent CrowdStrike Falcon Sensor software update,” Microsoft said.

They emphasized at the time that Mac and Linux hosts were not affected by the failure.

“This is not a security incident or cyber attack. The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been implemented,” it said.

IT services around the world, from airlines to banks, have faced disruption due to a series of technical glitches following an outage announced earlier by Microsoft.

A significant chain of outages spread from the United States of America (US) to Asia after Microsoft announced an outage affecting its online services.

Bloomberg media reported that a number of major companies, such as McDonald’s, United Airlines and LSE Group, have experienced a series of problems in communicating with customer services, underscoring a wider trend affecting many corporations across Japan, India and the US, AA writes.
