Recently, the European Geography Olympiad was held in Belgrade, and students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who were in several categories, achieved remarkable results by winning medals as a reward for knowledge.
In the junior category, student Sofija Savić won a bronze medal, while Imran Tabaković also won a bronze medal in the senior category.
In the senior competition, our team consisting of Imran Tabaković, Amer Hadžić, Nejra Hajrić and Faris Hodžić won third place in the poster presentation competition.
The Government of the Canton of Sarajevo and the Ministry of Education fully financially supported the trip of the students of the Canton of Sarajevo and the team of leaders/coordinators for the geography competition of professor Sead Srna to the Olympics.
“We congratulate the students, team leaders, teachers who worked with the students and parents. These are mostly elementary school students and the first grade of high school, and we are sure that the Bosnia and Herzegovina team will continue to achieve success in the coming years,” said the Minister of Education and education of Canton Sarajevo Naida Hota-Muminović.
We will remind you that last year our excellent students won a “silver medal” in geography in Paris – the first in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Olympics.
