17,997 Palestinian civilians have been killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7.

In the last 24 hours alone, 297 Palestinians have been killed.

Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, stated that the number of civilians killed reached 17,997.

He pointed out that 49,229 civilians were injured in Israeli attacks since October 7.

For more than two months now, Gaza has been under heavy bombardment by the Israeli army.

Israeli forces are bombing settlements, hospitals, schools, mosques and churches in the Gaza Strip.

Israel resumed its military offensive on the Gaza Strip on December 1 following the end of a week-long humanitarian pause.

The Israeli death toll from the Hamas attack was 1,200, according to official figures, AA reports.
