About 182,000 Palestinians have been displaced by Israeli attacks on Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA) stated that the recent intense attacks on Khan Younis caused a new wave of internal migration.

It was reported that between July 22 and 25, about 182,000 people migrated from the central and eastern parts of Khan Younis.

OCHA’s humanitarian affairs coordinator in the occupied Palestinian territories, Andrea de Domenico, said on July 3 that “nine out of every ten people in Gaza have been displaced at least once.”

The Israeli army stated that “an operation will be carried out” in some places to the east of Khan Younis, which it previously declared as “safe zones”, and called on residents of the area to evacuate.

Following the call for evacuation, Palestinians began to migrate from the region. According to data published by the government’s media office in Gaza on July 24, 129 people were killed and 416 people were wounded in the Israeli attacks on Khan Younis.
