Almost all Flights have been canceled from Sarajevo International Airport

On Sunday, almost all flights have been canceled from and to the Sarajevo International Airport due to weather caused by heavy fog and smog.

Fog creates poor visibility, which causes problems with air traffic.

Flights from Sarajevo Airport to Berlin, Riyadh, Zagreb, Budapest, Munich, Doha, Istanbul were canceled … Also, all flights to Sarajevo from Budapest, Belgrade, Vienna, Munich and Zagreb were canceled and they were unable to land.

The Expert Body for Coordination and Supervision of the Plan of Emergency Measures in the Case of Excessive Air Pollution in Sarajevo Canton on Friday declared an episode of “readiness” for the entire area.

According to the forecast from the Federal Meteorological Institute, weather will change in Sarajevo on Tuesday, which can cause moderate north winds and light rain, which could improve smog and fog situation in the city, Avaz.ba news portal reports.
