The Ambassador of the State of Israel, Galit Peleg, sent a letter to the FBiH Government stating that the Israeli Embassy “will closely monitor if any violation of international laws and human rights is committed against Amir Gross Kabiri”.
“The leaders of the free world stood by Israel in its darkest moments and boldly condemned the crimes of Hamas. The President of the United States (Joe) Biden said that Hamas committed an act of pure evil in violation of every code of human morality. Given that the US and “If the EU has declared Hamas a terrorist organization, it certainly does not seem excessive to ask the same from public officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including those in its capital, Sarajevo, such as Mayor Benjamina Karić,” the letter reads, as announced by the Embassy of the State of Israel.
The Embassy states that they have sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina in which they call on all legal and judicial authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina “to withstand any political pressure and to perform their duties in accordance with the law”.
“We believe that the state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina must not become a political tool for silencing criticism and that Bosnia and Herzegovina should unwaveringly defend the democratic rights of everyone, including Mr. Kabiri, to express their opinion, including the democratic right to call on elected officials to condemn the crimes committed by Hamas,” she says in the letter.
“We use this opportunity to inform you that the Embassy of the State of Israel will closely monitor if any violations of international laws and human rights are committed against Mr. Kabiri, and insist that the Bosnian authorities ensure that his rights are not violated in any way. Mr. Kabiri is a citizen The State of Israel and its state stands behind him,” said the Israeli Embassy.
An urgent letter was sent to the Office of the High Representative in BiH and the Embassy of the United States of America, which, as it was concluded, are a very close ally of the State of Israel, Fena reports.
