cleaningThis April 22nd marks the 45th anniversary of Earth Day, a day when the world comes together to reflect on our shared responsibility to safeguard this fragile planet for future generations. To celebrate Earth Day in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the U.S. Embassy will partner with local municipalities and volunteers, as well as the American Chamber of Commerce and other partners, to clean outdoor areas in Doboj, Maglaj and Doboj Jug, an area ravaged by last year’s devastating floods. U.S. Ambassador Cormack will also join the cleanup actions in all three municipalities.

All media interested in covering these events are welcome to attend.

Before the beginning of official cleanup action, Ambassador Cormack and Mayors of Doboj Jug, Doboj and Maglaj will make a brief statement to the press and answer few questions about this initiative. The press statements will take place on Wednesday, April 22 at 10:50, at the Cultural Center in Mravici near the Dallas Restaurant in Doboj Jug municipality.
