The Ambassador of the US to BiH Patrick Moon visited the Mayor of Sarajevo Alija Behmen in order to thank him for the intensive and successful cooperation between the US Embassy and Sarajevo.
Mayor Behmen said that the US Embassy had a true and great friend in Sarajevo with the implementation of a number of projects, starting from quality of work of civil society, to economic conferences on investment opportunities and potential between BiH and US businesspeople to business tours of operators from the US with interested tourist agencies from Sarajevo and BiH. The goal was to create new attractive arrangements for American tourists.
Behmen recalled the joint cooperation during the open Sarajevo Holiday Market in order to restore the holiday winter atmosphere in this Olympic city, and the Sarajevo Chamber Music Festival, which was organized with the goal of promoting the BiH capital as a place where top musicians all over the world gather, as well as to raise the standard of chamber music in our city. He particularly emphasized the twinning of cities with Dayton, urban planning and management of water resources and education.
Ambassador Moon thanked Mayor Behmen and Sarajevo City for the support of American Embassy activities in Sarajevo, and expressed belief that the successful cooperation would continue and with his successor.
