“I had the pleasure of speaking today with the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Assembly of Herzegovina-Neretva County. He also spoke with the president of HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, about the need for entity and state governments to refocus on the laws and steps necessary for economic development and the European future of BiH.

“Strong institutions are key to achieving results,” said the British ambassador.

“In that light, he also spoke about the current political moment, emphasizing the importance of protecting a stable internal political dialogue as well as the need for urgent changes to the Election Law of BiH in view of the General Elections scheduled for 2026,” the HDZ of BiH announced.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that the institutions at the BiH level must function effectively and without blockages in their work, all so that Bosnia and Herzegovina can progress towards its internal and foreign policy goals.

In the end, the officials assessed the bilateral relations as satisfactory, emphasizing the importance of the support and work of the UK officials for the stabilization and development of conditions in BiH.
