Amel Tuka klix.baLast night in Slovenia, the BH athlete Amel Tuka met the norm for the Olympic Games that are to be held in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

Last night at the International meeting in Ljubljana, Tuka ran 800 meters in unbelievable 1:44.19, thus winning the first place and making his dream come true-the placement to the Olympic Games. During the past meetings, this young BH athlete has been slowly but certainly moving towards his goal.

Tuka said that he still cannot believe what a result he achieved and that it will take some time for him to get a hold of himself. Last night’s result of Amel Tuka is also the best in the history of BH athletics, and it brought the ticket to the World Championship to Amel as well.

The second-placed in the 800 meters race was Van Rensburg Ryhnardt from South Africa with a time of 1:45.40, while the third place went to Rudolph Žan from Slovenia, with a time of 1:46.00.

The best BH athlete celebrated his victory with the shot-putters Hamza Alić and Mesud Pezer, the president of the Athletic Federation of B&H Suad Kaknjo and his son Asim, and numerous fans near the athletic stadium.
