BH athlete, Amel Tuka, won the first place in the 800m race in Salzburg last night with a time of 1:46:66.

Among 17 athletes, Amel Tuka achieved the best result despite the hard weather conditions and low temperatures. In the last night’s race, Dusan Babic also ran and took the 9th place with a time of 1:50:31.

Second and third place went to Moroccans, Nader Benhanbel who ran 800m with a time of 1:46:80 and Samir Jamma who recorded the time of 1:46:91.

In a short statement after the race, Tuka said that last night’s win is a great motive for the World Championship and Olympic Games and that he is very close to achieving the required standards.
As a reminder, Amel Tuka is the state champion of B&H at 800 meters with a time of 1:46:12, which he recorded at the European Championship in Zurich.
