Blagaj, which is known to many as a tourist attraction with one of the largest karst natural springs in Europe, will become the center of adventure sport climbing from September 19th to 25thduring the Blagaj Climbing Festival, which will be held for the second time.

The Blagaj Climbing Festival, which is held for seven days in the Blagaj Eco Center near Mostar, will show the infinite potential for sport climbing in that place and gather adventurers and nature lovers from more than ten countries around the world.

During 7 days, the festival will offer about 15 activities, among which there will be educational workshops, tours of cultural and historical monuments, archaeological tours of prehistoric cave settlements, sports climbing competition (biathlon and climbing marathon), reforestation of the area around the Old Town of Herceg Stjepan Kosaca, concerts by members and teachers of the Mostar Rock School, dance on silk and much more.

“It is an event that enriches the social life of Blagaj, and in an educational and fun way enables young people to develop their existing and acquire new skills. Last year we had guests from over 10 countries, and this year we expect even more,” say the organizers. Blagaj Climbing Festival, as they emphasize, celebrates the community for different people with different interests to get to know each other, participate in new experiences and feel closer to nature.

“In addition to good fun, new ways to explore nature have also been prepared. The Highline over Vulin Potok, at a height of 200 meters long, which leaves no one indifferent, and the silk dance performed by Vermelho. Also, you will have the opportunity to participate in workshops with professional performers on the climbing sector Rebro,” the organizers pointed out.

Blagaj is a hidden gem of Europe, so they are convinced that all visitors will discover a lot during their stay in Blagaj, because every day they will have the choice of participating in specially planned tours with a professional guide, while all the necessary equipment will be at their disposal.

In order to support local culture, community development, and small unique businesses, they also prepared a bazaar of domestic products.

The Blagaj Climbing Festival is not only for climbers, but for all people who want to socialize in nature, the organizers said and invited everyone who wants to participate to register through the contacts that can be found on the official website of this festival, Klix.ba reports.
