embassyDue to the horrifying floods on the territory of whole Bosnia-Herzegovina which are caused by abundant rains started at the end of April, the government of the USA is working with the government of B&H and the Red Cross, all in order to help to deliver the humanitarian help to the most endangered ones.

Nicholas Hill, charge d’affaires of Embassy of the USA, issued proclamation about the natural disaster, in order to support emergency measures. With this proclamation, the government of the USA was enabled to immediately give 50 000 Dollars for purchasing of necessities identified by the Ministry of security of B&H and the Red Cross. This includes 13 motor boats for evacuation of population from the territories which are mostly endangered by floods.

The equipment is purchased via the Office for help to countries hit by natural disasters at the American agency for international development (USAID) and will arrive to Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday, 17th May.

Seven boats were donated to Federation of B&H and six to Republic of Srpska.

The government of USA continues with emergency activities in order to identify the other opportunities of military and civil support and is ready to deliver the additional help as new needs get identified.  The United States of America are near citizens of B&H in these difficult circumstances, was announced by Embassy of the USA.
