American Eric Larson arrived to Sarajevo, to be appointed as Anti-corruption Advisor

Eric Larson, former International Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and former Judicial Counselor at the US Embassy in Montenegro, arrived in Sarajevo last week to serve as an anti-corruption advisor within the Sarajevo Canton Government, it was confirmed for Klix.ba.

Prior to arriving in Montenegro in December 2013, he was stationed in Pristina, Kosovo as a member of the U.S. Contingent at EULEX working as an International Prosecutor in the SPRK (Special Prosecution Office of the Republic of Kosovo). Mr. Larson has been working overseas since 2003.

His prior assignments have been in Bosnia-Herzegovina, where he served as an international prosecutor in both the Special Department for War Crimes and Special Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, as well as with the Anti-Crime and Corruption Unit of the Office of the High Representative.  He also served with the United Nations as the OIOS Chief Resident Investigator for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and as a UNODC Crime Prevention Expert in Austria.

Prior to deploying overseas, Mr. Larson served as a Captain in the Military Police and is an experienced criminal law attorney.

Mr. Larson received a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from the University of San Francisco. He also has a Diploma in Islamic Studies from the University of Sarajevo.
