Amra Sabic El-Rayess, a professor at the prestigious Columbia University in New York, is launching a platform for networking of the diaspora from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), BiHUnited.

Its goal is to bring together organizations and individuals committed to animating and harmonizing activities for a civic, multiethnic, sovereign, independent, functional, modern, peaceful, legal, and prosperous BiH in which all citizens will have equal rights.

BiHUnited is said to be an independent, non-profit platform and is not affiliated with political parties, nor does it support political candidates.

“In the past period, the BiH diaspora has grown into a serious and competent intellectual force, which can and wants to specifically help the economic, academic, cultural, and social development of BiH, and the latest events and attacks on BiHand individual rights of its citizens have awakened both the BiH diaspora and the friends of BiH, who are now seriously engaged in preserving peace, not only in BiH and the Balkans but other places as well, “ said BiHUnited President, Amra Sabic-El- Rayess.

Namely, BiHUnited does not replace the work of other organizations of BiH diaspora, who work diligently around the world, but intends to further connect them and encourage stronger cooperation between them and thus connect all individual efforts into one collective, global, and positive force.

As emphasized, BiHUnited is exclusively concerned with strengthening collective awareness and educating members of the diaspora, as well as other communities, in order to preserve peace and build a prosperous BiH.

“BiHUnited will work to promote BiH’s multiculturalism, the great wealth that comes from all our differences, and advocate for a prosperous, indivisible, and civic BiH without discrimination and ethnic hatred. One of the goals of the organization is to educate and promote a culture of remembrance and opposing attempts to deny or reduce the scale of the crime and the qualification of genocide, “ BiHUnited said.

All members of the BiH diaspora, who want to contribute to the development of a stronger and better BiH, can join this platform on the official website of BiHUnited.
