The evening of music and dance at the “Susan Sontag” theater square in Sarajevo began with a performance by members of the ballet school “Aurora” – KUD “Baščaršija” and members of the Basics school.
The program of the ballet “Ballet magic” performed by members of the ballet school “Aurora” – KUD “Baščaršija” and members of the Basics school includes the following numbers: Friends (first ballet steps and creating friendship through art), Polka-Mazurka (an agile cross-cultural dance), Waltz music Enchanted Ballroom (gothic waltz music), Farruca form of flamenco through which incredible strength and equality is revealed, and Freedom (freedom as the most important segment of human existence).
“Ballet magic” is a representation of the ballet journey where children of preschool age, from three to six years old, take their first ballet steps in the “Aurora” ballet studio, KUD Baščaršija. Having mastered the ballet lexicon, they move to the next levels where they dance demanding ballet numbers.
The performance of KUD Lola has also been announced, which has prepared dances by local choreographers for all fans of the Bosnian dance circuit: Varoške igre from Bosnia, Igre from Vlašić, Veseli se kujni taojimi, Igre from Guća Gora, and Igre from Imljan.
The evening of music and dance was arranged as part of the special program of the Sarajevo National Theater “Culture on the Streets 2023!”.
