An extraordinary session of the Presidency of BiH was held today, where the proposal of BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik that the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sefik Dzaferovic not participate in the Crimean Platform conference was rejected.
The Chairman of the BiH Presidency received an invitation letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to participate in the Crimean Platform conference.
After Dzaferovic, in his capacity as chairman of the BiH Presidency, accepted the invitation, Dodik demanded an extraordinary session and proposed the conclusion that Dzaferovic should not participate, which was rejected by the votes of Dzaferovic himself and member of the BiH Presidency Zeljko Komsic.
In addition to the above, Dodik also proposed the conclusion that Bosnia and Herzegovina should take a neutral stance towards Russian aggression against Ukraine, which was also rejected, as it would be a change in BiH’s official stance on this matter.
The Crimean Platform is a diplomatic initiative in which a large number of heads of state and government, including all EU and NATO members, participate, and which was launched by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with the aim of canceling the illegal Russian annexation of Crimea in 2014, it was pointed out from the office of the Chairman of the BiH Presidency.
