The meeting of the OHR and EUFOR delegations was held today in Sarajevo, and joint messages were sent to the public.

This is what the OHR announced via the X social network:

“Today, an important meeting was held with the EUFOR delegation led by the Director General of the EU Military Staff, Colonel General Van der Laan, the operational commander of EUFOR, Colonel General Cottereau and the commander of EUFOR, Major General Sticz on the political and security environment of BiH”.

The High Representative emphasized the importance of cooperation between OHR and EUFOR as key and complementary instruments in the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

EUFOR-Althea must maintain its executive mandate and troop deployment capacity, the statement said.
It should also be noted that the high representative of BiH recently held a meeting with EU Commissioner Varhelyi on political developments and prospects for EU integration of BiH.

Schmidt emphasized the need for a stronger focus on the future and reforms that will bring BiH into line with EU standards.

Political bickering and divisive rhetoric do not benefit anyone, reads one of the conclusions from the meeting.
