Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zukan Helez spoke on Wednesday with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E. Yasser Abdelrahman Ali Sorour.

The topic of the meeting was bilateral cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Arab Republic of Egypt, where it was concluded that there is room for its upgrading and improvement.

The minister emphasized the fact that the main foreign policy goals of our country are membership in the European Union and NATO, but also cooperation with other friendly and partner countries.

It was emphasized that so far no documents on cooperation in the field of defense have been signed, which would ensure the necessary legal framework for the implementation of quality and meaningful cooperation.

It was jointly stated that it is necessary to additionally identify fields and areas of mutual cooperation, of which cooperation in the field of training and education of members of the armed forces of the two countries in training centers and military academies is particularly significant, as well as the field of arms industry, which would be of mutual benefit.

The interlocutors also exchanged opinions on the need to organize visits at the highest level, which, as they emphasized, is the most effective way to achieve better and more dynamic cooperation in the field of defense.
