An unknown Flying Object entered Polish Airspace from the Direction of Ukraine

An unknown object entered the airspace of Poland, a member of NATO, from the direction of Ukraine today, Polish officials said, while Russia in Ukraine carried out one of the biggest attacks during the night since the beginning of the invasion, reports Reuters.

“This morning, an unknown flying object entered our airspace, and from the moment it crossed the border until the signal disappeared, it was observed on the radars of the country’s air defense system,” the Polish Operational Command announced via platform X.

In accordance with applicable procedures, the operational commander of the armed forces mobilized available forces and resources.

The private broadcaster TV Republika reported that the search for the object took place near the town of Hrubieszow in southern Poland. Reuters could not immediately confirm this information.

“We received information that the object appeared on the radar near Hrubieszów,”  said Krzysztof Komorski, governor of the Lublin region. “We have no confirmation that it fell in our region.”

In November 2022, a stray Ukrainian rocket hit the Polish village of Przewodow in the southern part of the country in an incident that sparked fears of the war in Ukraine spreading across the border.

In April, a military aircraft was found in a forest near the village of Zamość, not far from the northern city of Bydgoszcza.

It was later reported that it was a Russian missile.
