Keanu Reeves performed with his band in Zagreb two days ago, and his modesty and relaxed demeanor, despite being one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, were evident in an encounter with a journalist.
The journalist was searching for the actor in Zagreb’s hotels and found him sitting on the ground in front of one of them.
A photo captured by Korana Sutlic shows Reeves sitting against a wall, smoking a cigarette, and drinking Coca-Cola.
He asked the journalists for privacy, saying, “I’m talking on the phone, this is my private time,” but eventually, he did have a conversation with them.
The scene from Zagreb is a testament to Keanu’s humility. Unlike his famous colleagues, Keanu does not live in a villa, wears simple clothes, enjoys riding the subway, and helps the homeless, often sharing a beer with them.
He attends the red carpet only when necessary for movie premieres, dressing up for such occasions, while in everyday life, he wears casual outfits, leading some critics to comment that he looks like a homeless person.
Known for his humanitarian efforts, when Keanu earned 114 million dollars from the hit movie “Matrix,” he gave 80 million dollars to the special effects and makeup crew.
Later in the evening, Keanu performed with his band Dogstar at the INmusic festival.
“Thank you for deciding to hang out with us despite this ‘wonderful weather’. This is our first time in Croatia. Thank you for having us,” said the band’s frontman, Bret Domrose, to the audience, Jutarnji writes.
