Analysis: Average net Salary in BiH

The average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina for April 2025 was 1,545 BAM, which is a nominal increase of 0.7 percent, while the real growth is 0.4 percent compared to March this year.

The average net salary in April 2025 compared to the same month in 2024 is nominally higher by 12.4 percent, and is realy higher by 8.7 percent.

The highest average net salaries were paid to employees in the activities – Information and communication in the amount of 2,222 BAM, Financial and insurance activities in the amount of 2,058 BAM, and in Production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning 1,922 BAM.

The lowest average net salary was for workers in the Accommodation and Food Service Activities (1,113 BAM), Construction (1,237 BAM) and Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (1,297 BAM).

According to data from the Agency for Statistics of BiH, the average gross salary of employees for April 2025 was 2,397 BAM, which is a nominal increase of 0.7 percent, and a real increase of 0.4 percent compared to March 2025.

The average gross salary for April 2025 compared to April 2024 is nominally 12.8 percent higher, while the real index was 9.1 percent higher.
