Analysis: The total public Debt of Montenegro

The total public debt of Montenegro at the end of June amounted to 4.54 billion euros, or 62.37 percent of the gross domestic product, according to data from the Ministry of Finance.

Taking into account the deposits of the Ministry of Finance, including 38,477 ounces of gold, the net public debt of Montenegro amounted to 3.906 billion euros, or 53.67 percent of GDP.

The total government debt, excluding deposits, was 4.478 billion euros or 61.51 percent of GDP, and taking deposits into account, the total net government debt was 3.844 billion euros or 52.81 percent of GDP.

According to the data of the Ministry of Finance, the local self-government debt amounted to 62.42 million euros, or 0.86 percent of GDP.

Deposits amounted to 633.56 million euros, including 38,447 ounces of gold, the value of which is 83.78 million euros or 8.70 percent of GDP.
