Analyst: If there is a third World War, it will be started in this Area

Foreign policy analyst Denis Avdagic commented in an interview on the situation in the Gaza Strip. He says that all the cards of this conflict are in the hands of Israel.

How Israel will act will decide how long this will last. Many are trying to influence Israel, but in the end, it’s all up to them. How brutal they will be towards Gaza and the Palestinians will determine how the Arab, Islamic world will behave. How much it will end up costing Israel… And unrest will be everywhere. That’s why the reactions and the arrival of Biden are so fast, that’s why they warned civilians to be careful. It’s unprecedented for the United States (U.S.) Secretary of State to talk to someone for seven hours. These are not negotiations between the warring parties, but only with Israel. The U.S. only wants to close this issue as soon as possible. Moreover, you cannot quickly close something that started in the 1940s of the last century. We were close to a solution that opened up a lot of potential, the opening of diplomatic relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia. That event would change the blood picture of the Middle East and its completion would completely change it,” says Avdagic.

He says that Palestinian civilians who are in Gaza cannot be blamed for the actions of Hamas, even when it is said that they elected Hamas. “Children, even children of Hamas, cannot be held responsible for the actions of their parents.”

“You cut off water, and electricity, prevented food, and fuel from entering Gaza. People are thirsty there. If that is not enough for someone to understand the level of tragedy and to understand that it is not justified because of the Hamas incursion, then he has a problem with moral thinking. What the U.S. is doing… It is the only one that wants to solve this quickly and be an ally of Israel. I think that the Arab countries also need to wake up a little. Canceling the meeting with Biden means that you are not ready for constructiveness, but only for furious action. There are a lot of emotions, I understand, but the Middle East is an area where we can expect if there is a third world war, that it will be sown there,” he says.

“Hamas and what it has done must be condemned. He who avoids condemning it does not condemn crime. We in the Western media see an image of solidarity with Israel. In Islamic countries, the media presents much more of what is happening in Gaza. This is important to understand. Let’s put ourselves in the position of young Arabs, perhaps originally from Palestine, who live in Europe, perhaps have relatives in Palestine, or Gaza, and then watch messages of solidarity with Israel. They think that there is something deeply unfair. You can easily radicalize young people in any direction. No act of terrorism can be justified.”

Schengen

“Schengen didn’t fail, I don’t know where that came from,” Avdagic said about the introduction of controls between Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, and Croatia. He explained that Schengen is functioning, that air traffic is taking place normally, and that controls have been introduced before, depending on the needs, N1 reports.
