Ankara: The Scope of Trade between B&H and Turkey to reach One Billion BAM?

Trilateral Meeting Ankara drukciji.baThe trilateral meeting of the ministers of economy of B&H, the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Turkey was held yesterday in Ankara, Turkey.

The ministers signed a joint statement by which they have renewed the work of the Trilateral Commission for the trade and economic cooperation of the three countries.

The ministers have agreed that a business forum is to be held by the end of 2015 in Sarajevo, within the trilateral cooperation.

During 2015 B&H expects the volume of trade with Turkey to reach one billion BAM, and the intensification of trade and economic cooperation is expected to increase the export of goods from B&H by as much as 50 percent.

After the held trilateral meeting, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu hosted the ministers Mirko Sarovic and Rasim Ljajic, and on the occasion the continuation of the export of meat and meat products from B&H to Turkey was agreed, which represents a great success of the BH delegation.

Also, the Turkish party accepted to finance the joint representative office of B&H and the Republic of Serbia in Istanbul, through which the tourist offer of the two countries would be especially promoted.

The Republic of Turkey expressed readiness to offer additional trade conveniences to B&H, and this topic will be discussed in some 10 days from now in Izmir, at the meeting of the Minister Sarovic and the Minister Nihat Zajbekci, it was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of B&H.
