Apartment Prices in Sarajevo have skyrocketed

The number of new apartments sold in the first quarter of 2023 in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) compared to the first quarter of 2022 is lower by 9.4 percent.

The average price compared to the first quarter of 2022 is 19.8 percent higher. However, the growth percentage is much higher if you look at Sarajevo alone.

In total, 240 new apartments were sold in this period, of which 74 were in Sarajevo and 166 in other municipalities.

The average price of new apartments sold in Sarajevo was 3.379.1 BAM per square meter, and in other municipalities, excluding Sarajevo, the total was 2.148.1 BAM.

For the sake of comparison, the average price of new apartments sold in Sarajevo in the first quarter of last year was 2.359.2 BAM per square meter. This means that the price of a square meter has increased by about 1.000 BAM in just one year.

In other municipalities, the collective price at the beginning of 2022 was 1.873.9 BAM per square meter, Biznis Info reports.
