Increase of Value of sold Agricultural Products recorded in BiH

In I quarter of 2019 increase of value of sold agricultural products has been recorded for cereals by 38,5%, cut flowers by 74,0%, poultry by 5,1% and products of animals by 6,4%, while the value of sold potatoes decreased by 15,7%, vegetables by 5,5%, fruits by 18,0% and other products by 34,2% in relation to the I quarter of 2018.

In I quarter of 2019 in the structure of total sale of agricultural products in green markets vegetables participated with 32,2%, products of animals with 27,6%, fruit with 20,1%, group other products with 8,9%, potato with 6,1%, poultry with 3,5%, cereals with 1,6% and cut flowers with 0,01%.

Average prices of selected sold agricultural products on the green market for I quarter of 2019 are given in this release.

In April 2019 the number of slaughtered cattle decreased by 11,65%, sheep by 14,40% and poultry by 0,65%, while the number of slaughtered pigs increased by 36,28% in relation with the same period of 2018.

The net weight of slaughtered cattle decreased by 8,05% and of slaughtered sheep by 15,38%, while the net weight of slaughtered pigs increased by 36,69% and of slaughtered poultry by 2,40% in relation with the same period of 2018.

In April of 2019 the total amount of collected cow’s milk decreased by 1,8% in relation with the same period of 2018. Production of drinking milk increased by 15,0%, cream by 5,8%, acidified milk by 10,4%, butter and other yellow fat products by 16,8% and cow’s cheese by 6,1% in relation with the same period of 2018.

The total amount of milk fat decreased by 1,5%, while the total amount of milk protein increased by 0,9% in relation with the same period of 2018, data of BiH’s Agency for Statistics showed.
