Producers from BiH will be able to export apples to Russia again, which decided to lift the ban after six months,” said Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Sarovic.

He noted that this is good news for producers of fruit in BiH, and he announced that representatives of Russia will visit our country in the future period and take a look at the quantities of apples that should be exported to Russia.

Sarovic stated that they will know what quantities our country has at its disposal when it comes to exports to Russia, which was banned due to a doubt for re-export in January this year.

During his visit to Plantation of Apples in Popovo Polje, which is one of the largest producers in the RS, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations stated that the Russian side required from the Authority for Plant Protection of BiH to guarantee their phytosanitary requests.

It is expected from the relevant entity institutions to prevent any kind of abuse and irresponsible behaviour of individuals in this business.

“A wider community, famous companies, numerous families and the whole country will benefit if we realize export business with Russia,” said Sarovic.
