stećakThe Chairman of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments of B&H Dubravko Lovrenović is optimistic in regard to the official application of UNESCO by 31st January 2014, for inclusion on the UNESCO list of World Heritage medieval tombstones.

“I pleased to say that a large part of the work concerning the preparation of the nomination dossier is completed“, said Lovrenović to reporters in Sarajevo.

Recalling that Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia are working together on nomination of tombstones for UNESCO World Heritage List, Lovrenović stated that a part of the work related to the preparation of the nomination dossier should be completed in September, at a meeting in Zagreb.
