April 6th Awards officially given to Organizations and Individuals

Mayor of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka and the Chairman of City Council Igor Gavric awarded on Saturday  ‘April 6th Awards’ to several deserving organizations and individuals in the Sarajevo City Hall.

April 6th Award for 2019 was given to professor Franjo Topic, and in the category of health and social welfare, the award went to professor Fahrudin Smajlovic.

Bogic Bogicevic received the April 6th Award in the field of work and creativity.

The “Honorary Citizen of the City of Sarajevo” award was presented to of the most renowned contemporary artists in the world and a proven friend of the capital of BiH, maestro Michelangelo Pistoletto, to actress Mirjana Karanovic, the US Congressman Chris Smith, opera singer Krunoslav Cigoj (posthumously) and to the frontman of Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson, Federal News Agency reports.

The plaques of the “City of Sarajevo” were awarded to Sadeta Dervisevic, to the author of the film “Keli”, Muhamed Bikic, to Ivo Standeker (posthumously) and to professor Jasmin Dzindo (posthumously), while the Graham Bamford Prize was awarded to the founder of Pomozi.ba charity, Elvir Karalic.
