Arab Countries Prepare Resolution: Solidarity After Israeli “Cowardly Aggression”

Qatar will host a summit of Arab and Muslim leaders to condemn the Israeli attack on Doha and express solidarity with the Gulf state.

At the meeting scheduled for Monday, a “draft resolution on the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar” will be considered, which will be prepared today at a ministerial meeting, said Foreign Ministry official Majed al-Ansari.

The summit reflects “broad Arab and Islamic solidarity with the State of Qatar faced with the cowardly aggression of Israel … and categorical condemnation of Israeli state terrorism,” he added.

Analysts believe that the meeting is intended to send a clear message to Israel.

According to Andreas Krieg of King’s College London, the Israeli strikes “are viewed across the Gulf as an unprecedented violation of sovereignty and an attack on diplomacy itself,” and he emphasized that the summit sends a signal that “such aggression cannot be normalized.”

“The goal is to draw clear red lines and end the feeling in Israel that it can act with impunity. A tougher stance on the question of Palestine and a stricter approach to Israeli actions is expected,” he stated.
