Arabs have hired several real estate agencies in Sarajevo, wanting to buy a minimum of 50 hectares of land in Herzegovina.
The agencies have hired intermediaries for this job, seeking for potential sellers of land.
The initial offer for a square meter of land is 1 BAM, which is considered a miserable price.
As a reminder, the Arabs have in recent years bought many properties in and around Sarajevo, and they are incresingly interested in buying in B&H.
According to the Ministry of Security, 232 companies owned by the citizens of Kuwait have been registered in B&H. Many of these are not active, and were suspected to serve as a cover for obtaining residence and buying properties.
This Ministry also states that several thousand people from the Arab world reside in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
