Are you coming to the Red Bull Showrun in Sarajevo? Here’s What You Need to Know

This coming Sunday, June 9th, Sarajevo will host the spectacular Red Bull Showrun event, bringing a victorious Red Bull Racing car to the streets of the main city, along with other entertaining content for the numerous visitors and spectators.

The main part of the program starts at 2:00 p.m., featuring performances by the biggest show stars: the true “motorcycle magician” Arunas Gibieza, the German drift masters Red Bull Driftbrothers in their powerful drift cars, and the legendary United Kingdom (UK) F1 driver David Coulthard, who will be behind the wheel of the Red Bull Racing F1 car RB7. A large crowd of adrenaline lovers is expected, and Red Bull is preparing a rich program with surprises. For those who won’t be able to be in Sarajevo on June 9th, a TV broadcast will be provided.

In the coming days, Sarajevo will be the host of a unique event, rarely seen before, and on this occasion, we are bringing a series of important pieces of information for citizens and visitors regarding the days leading up to the event and the day itself.

First of all, this information concerns entry and access to the main event zone, as well as changes to the traffic regime on specific days and timeframes. The center of the event on Sunday, June 9th, will be the section between the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)/Mechanical Engineering School and Marijin Dvor.

When do the gates open and how to reach the track?

The gates to the well-known location hosting the Red Bull Showrun scheduled for Sunday, June 9th, will open at 11:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome and can completely free of charge witness this spectacle.

Guest entry is provided at 11 locations from the direction of Pofalici, Skenderija, Vrbanja, Wilson’s Promenade, and Franz Lehar Street. Bringing pyrotechnics, glass objects, cans, PET packaging, and other items that could be dangerous to visitors is prohibited in the event zone.

Getting to the Red Bull Showrun

Due to the large number of visitors and changes to the traffic regime, everyone coming is advised to use public and alternative transportation and to utilize parking spaces that are not in the closer vicinity of the event.

On the day of the event, tram service will operate up to Cengic Vila, with additional strengthened trolleybus and bus service.

Changes to traffic flow on June 9th

There will be a closure of a small number of Sarajevo streets on Sunday, June 9th, from midnight to 8:00 p.m., and all citizens will be redirected to alternative routes.

Traffic will be stopped on a section of Marshal Tito Street from the Hiseta and Alipasino intersection to the Marshal Tito and Vrbanja Streets intersection, as well as on a section of Zmaja od Bosne Street, including side streets in the immediate vicinity of the event.
