The Armed Forces (AF) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) will soon get four new UH-1H-II helicopters. These are multi-purpose aircraft, intended primarily for the transport of people and cargo, but also for medical evacuations and firefighting.
These are helicopters that BiH buys with the financial support of the Government of the United States (U.S.).
Members of the AF of BiH Air Force and Air Defense Brigade recently successfully completed adaptation training on UH-1H-II Huey II helicopters at Fort Worth, Texas.
The aim of the training was to prepare the crew for safe and successful self-management of new helicopters type UH-1H-II, as well as the proper use of helicopters, engines, systems, and equipment, and maintenance at the first stage.
A group of eight members of the AF of BiH, who were sent for training in Texas (U.S.), acquired knowledge and skills that will provide them with the highest level of safety while maintaining and operating these new helicopters.
To recall, the existing helicopters of the AF of BiH in the past weeks could not be engaged in firefighting throughout BiH due to the obstruction of Milorad Dodik, a member of the Presidency of BiH, Klix.ba writes.
