Armed Forces of BiH demined two and a half Million Square Meters throughout BiH

The Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH) presented the Annual Mine Action Analysis of the AFBiH for the year 2022 on the Balkan plateau, Mrkonjic Grad municipality.

In his address, Commander of the Operational Command of the AFBiH, Major General Radovan Ilic, thanked the guests for their presence. On this occasion, he pointed out that the deminers of the AFBiH continued their work in 2022, engaging their demining teams in the field, and achieved remarkable results on that occasion.

When presenting the analysis of the mine actions of the AFBiH for 2022, the acting deputy commander of the AFBiH for operations, Brigadier Mirzet Lubenovic, drew special attention to the achieved results of the demining capacities of the AFBiH in the process of humanitarian demining.

He emphasized that the Annual Plan of the Mine Action Plan AFBiH for 2022 planned to carry out humanitarian demining of an area of 3.434.665 square meters within the framework of 34 projects in 25 municipalities in BiH.

In relation to the plan, in 2022, the AFBiH demined a total of 2.561.113 square meters or 74.57 percent of the plan, Klix.ba reports.
