ABF GALA 15SEP14 7991On Sunday, the Britannia Stadium, home of Stoke City, hosted the inaugural donor gala dinners by Asmir Begovic Foundation. Many guests, among them the captain of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina Edin Dzeko and an almost complete team of Stoke City participated in a charity auction and charity dinner.

“I am proud of all people who participated in this event, and I would like to thank to all my friends and sponsors, without whom none of this would be possible. The support we have received this evening is still a incentive in order to continue in this way and to make further progress. This is only the first step, the Foundation will continue with similar projects in the future.”

“What is the most important at this point is to emphasize that this was more than successful night for all of us and that we met all the goals that we set before ourselves. We collected about 50,000 pounds, and it was a great success for us,” added Asmir Begovic.

Asmir Begovic Foundation was established last year, and was created in order to help build and improve sports facilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as in England. The aim of the Foundation is to encourage children to be active, live a healthy life and take participation in sports activities. Anyone wanting to help Asmir’s project to succeed, can donate money or to contact their team members.
